Marty and Kelli

Marty and Kelli are doing great and spent a lot of time again this year working on the Naptown Homestead.  Projects included installing extra stairs on the deck, cutting firewood, chipping mulch, making compost, and building a 70' French drain and installing fence around the garden.

Kelli still volunteers at the Crawford County Food Pantry each month and continues to scrapbook, read, and take care of pets Louie, Stella, and Dr. Poe.  She visits her mom (Lois) every 2-3 weeks and this year she canned a lot vegetables (beets, green beans, corn), made jelly/jam, and perfected her products made with essential oils.

Marty is still working at Single Source Systems and spends as much time as he can outdoors.  He continues his practice of habitat management for the wildlife by planting sunflower, corn, soybeans, and small grains.  He spent time fine tuning the garden which provided a lot of produce.  He fished only a couple of times and was able to go duck hunt, harvested a nice 8-pt buck, did lots of dove hunting, and of course tended to the grill.
